Russellstoll® Interconnection Systems Incorporates ABB Industrial Plugs and Sockets Into Product Line

Russellstoll^® Interconnection Systems by Thomas & Betts (T&B) has combined its product line with the ABB Industrial Plugs and Sockets product line to enhance T&B’s industrial connector selection. 

Facilitated by ABB’s acquisition of T&B last year, the consolidation of the two lines creates a comprehensive selection of explosion-proof, heavy and light industrial, moisture- and corrosion-resistant plugs, sockets, connectors and receptacles, which range from 20 to 600 Amps.

“The consolidation results in a complete selection of interconnection solutions for light- and heavy- industrial markets,” said Chad Smith, vice president, product management and marketing, at Thomas & Betts. “In addition to the breadth of our product offering, the scale of production enables us to ship most parts from stock, with a typical one- to two-week lead time.”

Thomas & Betts proprietary pin-and-sleeve products will be branded as Russellstoll^® Interconnection Systems. ABB Industrial pin-and-sleeve products, also known as IEC Plugs and Sockets, in reference to their compliance with International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) 60309 standards, will continue to capitalize on the catalog’s ABB brand in the global industrial market.
