Emerson Network Power Extends Line of Row-Based Cooling Systems

EP Editorial Staff | February 28, 2014

Emerson Network Power has launched its Liebert® CRV row-based cooling system in a 12-inch (300mm) footprint, smaller than previous models. The Liebert CRV model is an air-cooled, direct expansion (DX) unit with a nominal cooling capacity of 19.6 kW. It is designed to fit within a row of racks, delivering cooling close to heat sources. The new system consists of a digital scroll compressor and variable speed fans. The compressor matches changing cooling demands without cycling on and off, reducing energy consumption. Five energy-saving, variable speed fans regulate airflow. Liebert iCOM™control and monitoring allows up to 32 cooling units to work together. The system accommodates up to 20 rack monitoring sensors per unit, including variations in temperature and humidity for up to 10 racks. The Liebert CRV can be installed in data center or network environments with raised or non-raised floors. Two Liebert IntelliSlot communication card slots allow easy plug-in for multiple modes of communication and control. It is compatible with Emerson Network Power’s data center infrastructure management (DCIM) system, the Trellis™platform, as well as the Liebert Nform and Liebert SiteScan™ monitoring and reporting systems. The new compact cooling unit is available now in North America. More information: www.Liebert.com.
