Emerson Power Transmission Solutions Unveils Upgraded Toolbox Technician™ Mobile App for HVACR

Emerson Power Transmission Solutions has released an upgraded version of its free Browning® Toolbox Technician™ mobile app for HVACR (heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration) technicians. With all the content of the printed Browning Bearings & Belt Drive Pocket Reference Guide, the updated app adds new features and an improved energy efficiency calculator. The downloadable app enables the user to search the reference guide and calculate information on efficiency savings quickly. Material can be continually updated as new products are developed, enabling technicians to reference the most current information. The upgraded app also delivers improved navigation, a belt identification wizard and GPS functionality. The app’s improved calculator predicts the savings accrued by moving from wrapped to notched belts. It also measures efficiency savings gained via proper belt tension and replacement of worn sheaves. The Toolbox Technician app was an Honorable Mention winner of the 2013 AHR Expo Innovation Award, which recognizes products that best help HVACR practitioners provide safer, healthier, more efficient and/or more comfortable environments.
