You and your teams still have time to register for the Manufacturing in America Symposium set for March 11-12, in Detroit, MI.  Hosted by Siemens and Electro-Matic Products, Inc. this two-day event at Ford Field will bring together manufacturing and automotive industry executives, technology leaders, educators and students to explore technologies and best practices driving manufacturing in America.

This must-attend event for personnel from across industry, including maintenance and reliability professionals, will feature in-depth presentations, discussions and best practices focused on manufacturing, particularly in the automotive industry. There also will be a thought-leadership summit with leaders from companies such as Ford, ITR Economic, and UI Labs.

Keynote Speaker is Jeremy Gutsche, Founder of TrendHunter.com, a Website attracting over two billion views. Gutsche will speak on  innovations and trends in industry, building in themes from his latest book, BETTER and FASTER: The Proven Path to Unstoppable Ideas.

As part of the Symposium’s “Technology Tip-Off (TTO)” program, nearly 100 technical sessions focusing on areas of Automation and Controls Engineering, Drives and Motion, Energy and Facilities Management and Plant Engineering and Maintenance will be offered. Organizers say these sessions are intended for industry leaders and engineers, as well as students and educators. An exhibition with 40 different vendors will also be presented.

Last year, more than 2200 attendees from 500 different companies participated in just the TTO part of the event. This year, more content and activities have been added to the schedule, including competitions among four FIRST Robotics teams from local high schools. The inclusion of these teams and competitions highlights the strong and continuing emphasis Siemens puts on the training of today’s youth in STEM initiatives and the providing of hands-on learning experiences for college and university students through programs such as “Siemens Cooperates with Education.”

While there’s no charge to attend this year’s Manufacturing in America Symposium, registration is required. For more information or to sign up, CLICK HERE.
