Test Products International Inc. (TPI) offers expandable and affordable CBM systems.

The 9041 Ultra II is the latest vibration analyzer and field balancer from TPI (Test Products Intl, Inc.). The Ultra II vibration analyzer automatically detects out of balance, misalignment and looseness as well as bearing defects. The Ultra II works both in route mode and meter mode with all data automatically transferable to the C-Trend II PC trending software. Ultra II is cloud-ready. The single and dual plane balancing software makes simple work of correcting the most common cause of bearing wear in rotating machinery with many tools usually only found on high cost units such as live vector, drill depth calculator and test weight prediction.

Although easy to use, the Ultra II has a wealth of remarkable features including up to 20 mHz frequency resolution and an FFT with up to 51,200 lines. This combined with user settable sampling frequency, demodulation filters as well as configurable cursors make the analyzer a match for any task.  The high-resolution color touchscreen, long battery life, and IP67 protection makes it easy to use in any environment.  For accurate run speed calculation the Ultra II also ships with an optical LED strobe and a laser tachometer, both of which connect directly to a BNC input so the data stays with the vibration measurement. Optionally, the TPI 377BT IR temperature meter can automatically connect over Bluetooth to save critical temperature measurements.

C-Trend II PC software, based on a hierarchical SQL database, allows the user to configure assets and create routes for vibration data as well as general-purpose inspections.  This allows trending of all standard vibration parameters including ISO, g, demodulation and user definable frequency bands as well as any process parameter (temperature, pressure, or other) along with user configurable inspections for anything from machine safety to lubrication inspections. When it comes to reporting, C-Trend II has user configurable reports including detailed exception reports. Email addresses can be assigned to machines or locations and exception reports automatically sent out to minimize the need for human intervention.

Not only does C-Trend II sync with the Ultra II, but also with the market leading 9080K1 vibration analyzer. Users of the Ultra II and C-Trend II can now also add low cost ($1495) 9080K1 units to their CBM program to maximize the use of the system. The 9080K1 includes a color LCD screen and industry standard IEPE accelerometer and can display an FFT complete with cursor as well as standard ISO and g information.  Now it can also share Ultra II route data! Both the Ultra II and 9080K1 are cloud-ready for TPI’s DataDecypher software.
