The theme for 2016 in the industrial manufacturing space was partnerships when it came to the Internet of Things and predictive maintenance. National Instruments was busy in 2016 positioning itself in the oil and gas space with its partnership with Flowserve, PTC and Hewlett Packard Enterprise.
