New Mexico Gas Co. President Annette Gardiner Receives 2014 Energetic Women Maverick Award

AnnetteGardinerThe Midwest Energy Association (MEA) and Energetic Women organization have announced that Annette Gardiner, President, New Mexico Gas Company, is the recipient of the 2014 Maverick Award. The Maverick Award recognizes leaders who have set the standard in promoting, connecting and strengthening female leaders in energy operations and engineering. It’s presented annually to a man or women who actively participates in the advancement of women in leadership; knows an organization is stronger with a diverse leadership team; believes in the empowerment of women; understands the importance of recognition and opportunities for women; advocates for the professional advancement of women; and acknowledges the full talents, capabilities, and organizational benefits of women in energy operations and engineering.

The mission of Energetic Women organization is to increase the pool of promotable women in Energy Operations and Engineering. A service of MEA, Energetic Women encourages leadership growth and development, through mentorship and a range of supportive programs.
