Clamp-On Flowmeter

Prosonic Flow W 400 flowmeter uses a nonintrusive, clamp-on measurement method, with its ultrasonic sensors mounted directly on a pipe’s exterior. This reportedly provides safe measurement of many fluids, independent of their conductivity or other properties, including corrosive, abrasive, and toxic fluids. Because neither piping nor process flow are interrupted, clamp-on flowmeters are said to be easily retrofitted. Used for low- or high-pressure applications, the units fit pipes smaller than 1-in. dia., to as large as 160 in.
